Potter talks - Michelle Furlong In-Person

Mendelian genetics of wizards: The wizarding allele is recessive to the muggle allele. So a muggle can carry the wizard gene, but if he/she has only one allele then he/she will be a muggle. If he/she mates with a wizard (W/W) who is homozygous recessive then their child has a 50% chance of being a wizard. If two wizards mate then they will most certainly have a wizard child. Several examples will be provided based on various characters in the novels.

Registration is not required for this event but will assist us in projecting attendance.
